The Rogue River – A Must See!
May through October, these boat rides are a popular experience for many of our guests and a unique way to enjoy the splendor of the lower Rogue. The river has been a protected wilderness area since 1968. Rogue River Mail Boats (established 1895) and Jerry’s Rogue Jets (established 1958) have combined to offer three different length trips. Their Special Use Permits allow their vessels to travel as far as fifty two miles upriver. The unspoiled beauty, abundant wildlife, whitewater rapids and fun loving drivers, steeped in lore, make for a memorable day. To top it off, you may be the lucky one to have a black bear pose for you. All the tours stop for a “Mom and Pop” meal at the small village of Agness – a hospitable slice of rural Oregon!
