During Family Season in December, the lodge offers S’mores Packages every night — $25 for up to four guests, available by request at The Oods or the Main Lodge. Each set includes roasting sticks, chocolate, grahams, and the lodge’s house-made marshmallows, crafted for the perfect golden toast. It’s a ritual that blends rustic comfort with quiet luxury. At Tu Tu’ Tun, s’mores aren’t just a treat; they’re a return to the art of slowing down and finding joy in the firelight.

Each December, we step outside beneath the stars for one of Tu Tu’ Tun’s most cherished traditions — the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. As the towering evergreen sparkles to life against the night sky, the air fills with laughter, music, and the warmth of voices singing together. Cocoa and mulled wine are poured, fires crackle, and the Rogue River glimmers in the distance — a picture-perfect beginning to the holiday season. When the last song fades, the celebration continues indoors at 8 PM in the River Room with a family-favorite holiday film, a vintage popcorn machine, and s’mores by the fire — a night of simple pleasures, bright lights, and cozy connection

The Holiday Cocoa Bar at Tu Tu’ Tun Lodge is a winter indulgence designed for pure comfort and delight. On Sunday, the Main Lodge transforms into a cozy gathering place scented with chocolate and woodsmoke, where you can pour yourself a cup of rich, French-style hot cocoa and top it just the way you like. House-made marshmallows melt slowly into the velvet-smooth chocolate, while traditional toppings and whipped cream invite a touch of whimsy. The popcorn machine hums, laughter drifts through the room, and the magic of the movies blends seamlessly with the spirit of the lodge—warm, nostalgic, and perfectly unhurried. It’s a simple pleasure, shared between generations, and one of the sweetest ways to slow down and savor the season by the river.

Celebrate the turning of the season on the longest nights of the year at our Winter Solstice Dinners — intimate, multi-course evenings crafted by Chef Derek Piva to celebrate the debut of the winter menu. Fires glow in the hearth, the lodge shimmers with seasonal greenery, and each dish arrives as a reflection of the wild beauty surrounding the Rogue River. Rooted in the lodge’s signature wilderness-to-table philosophy, the menu highlights the depth and comfort of winter ingredients, paired with thoughtful wines and the quiet elegance of the season.
