4th of July Weekend
JULY 3-5
Celebrate the peak of the summer season on 4th of July weekend at the lodge
The Fourth of July arrives at the height of summer—long days, warm air, and the Rogue moving clear and inviting. At Tu Tu’ Tun, the weekend is shaped by the river and the season: open windows, time outdoors, and a natural rhythm that carries from morning to night without urgency.
This is a gathering more than an event—easy, social, and well-paced. Days unfold between water and shade, meals are generous but unfussy, and the Fourth itself centers around fire, music, and a long table by the river. Come for the celebration, stay for the feeling that follows.
FRIDAY, JULY 3
Spritz, Swim & Soak
You arrive into the height of summer with something cold in hand—a spritz, a beer, or sparkling water—as the day opens around you. The room is set with fresh flowers and an easy sense of arrival, and the afternoon finds its own pace: a swim in the river, time on the lawn, a turn through the sauna, or simply settling in without agenda. Evening gathers around a relaxed opening supper in the River Room—summer vegetables, simply prepared proteins, bright sauces, and wine poured generously. After dinner, firepits are lit along the riverbank, and the night stretches out, warm and unhurried.
SATURDAY, JULY 4
Riverside Recharge
Saturday centers on the Fourth—festive, but never overdone. The morning comes slowly, with breakfast served late: fruit, pastries, eggs, herbs, and strong coffee. From there, the day opens wide—time in the river, a round of sauna and cold plunge, or a stretch of shade with nothing on the agenda. By midday, it softens into picnic lunches by the water—bright, easy, and close at hand. The afternoon turns social with whiskey and wine on the lawn, a loose, come-and-go gathering that builds without effort. By evening, everything draws toward the river for a live-fire BBQ—smoke in the air, long tables, generous platters, and music carrying through as the light fades. Dessert follows, and if you like, a few sparklers after dark.
4TH OF JULY
BBQ by the River
Evening centers on the river, where the BBQ comes to life—fire and smoke rising from the grill, long tables set, and the energy building without effort. Platters arrive in abundance, seasonal sides passed down the line, wine and beer flowing easily. Music moves through the space as the light fades, carrying the evening forward. Dessert follows, and after dusk, a few quiet sparklers—just enough to mark the night. You’re invited to add on this experience when booking your stay.
SUNDAY, JULY 5
Slow Farewell
Sunday eases into a slow farewell—no alarms, no rush, just a final morning at your own pace. Brunch is served in the River Room and out on the terrace: eggs, smoked fish, summer vegetables, pastries, and coffee. There’s time for one last moment by the river—feet in the water, cup in hand—before the day gently pulls you onward, sun-warmed, full, and deeply at ease.
